My name is Martijn van der Wal.
After studying medicine in Utrecht, I moved to Amsterdam to work at the burn center in Beverwijk. After 5 years of combining burn care and science, I obtained my PhD at the VU Medical Center and started the GP training.
As a general practitioner I have worked for many years in various practices in Amsterdam, but also in other parts of the Netherlands. As the son of a rural doctor, I had in mind to settle with my family in the East of the Netherlands, where I grew up. An accessible atmosphere with personal contact with the patients is what attracted me there. What attracted me so much to the East of the country, is what I found in my own living environment; the East of Amsterdam. I decided to settle here.An accessible atmosphere with personal contact with the patients is what attracted me there. However, I did not build up the desired contacts in the East of the country, but in my current living environment, the East of Amsterdam. I became convinced to settle here.

My name is Rosa Vogel.
After studying medicine in Leiden, I worked as a doctor for surgery in The Hague for a year. Subsequently, I followed my studies in general medicine at the VU in Amsterdam. I then emigrated to Aruba where I enjoyed having my own practice as a general practitioner for almost 6 years. Now that I’m back in the Netherlands, I enjoy working as a general practitioner with my old student friend Martijn in the practice. Especially, since he has a whole new approach to the general practitioner profession. Our profession is very versatile and there are many other ways of communicating than regular consultations. That’s why I chose Martijn’s practice.
I work at the practice on Wednesdays.

My name is Misja Hin.
After my medical training at VUmc in 2007, I became a doctor. During my studies, I worked on various (development) projects in Southern Africa. Subsequently, as a doctor, I gained several years of clinical experience in the hospital in both surgery and internal medicine. After that, I worked as a supervisor at the GGD department of infection diseases. This broad background came in handy for my later work as a general practitoner.
Since 2015, I have enjoyed working as a general practitioner at various practices in North and South Holland.
I work at the practice on Tuesdays and will sporadically fill in on another day.

My name is Paulien Stams.

In 2021 I graduated as a medical doctor. I’ve been living in the Netherlands since 2022 and have been working on perfecting my Dutch to be able to communicate better with patients. During my studies at Semmelweis university, I did research in fields such as cardiology, Lyme disease, and vaccinations in children.
I work every Wednesday afternoon but you can also see me during the week with Martijn and Roos.
